Metroid Wiki:Featured Picture Nomination
Template:Cat Here users can nominate and vote for Metroid Wikis next featured picture. Featured pictures should:
- Depict a Metroid-related subject.
- Carry the appropriate image templates denoting copyright information.
- Be of a reasonably high resolution AND/OR
- Be of a high quality in terms of detail and rendering
- Meet all other criteria of Metroid Wiki's Image Quality Standards
Rules:
- A picture needs the approval of five users with at least one staff vote, OR two admins votes in its favor, in order to be marked as featured.
- The user who makes the nomination is included as one of the five necessary votes.
- Both users and staff may make a maximum of one approval, nomination or disapproval per calendar week.
- You may not approve of a picture which you have nominated, or for which you have already previously approved.
- Votes should be added in order beneath the respective relevant header (either {{support}} or {{oppose}}), with # at the beginning of the line.
- A maximum of six Currently Nominated images are allowed at any given time. Please do not nominate a new image if there are already six nominees.
- All approvals MUST be signed using ~~~~. If you do not sign your opinion or second, your comments WILL NOT be counted!
- Be sure to include a brief message stating why you agree that an image should be featured. "Stub" votes (e.g. "I like this image", or "<character shown> is great") may be deemed invalid and discounted.
If a picture should receive two valid user votes in opposition, it will not be featured, once verified by a staff member.
Proper Opposition Guidelines:
- You may make a single vote opposing any nominated picture (with no monthly restrictions). These should be reasoned oppositions based upon the qualifying criteria detailed.
- Your personal like or dislike of the subject being depicted is NOT grounds for opposition.
- Oppositions to images should only be used for reasons such as the following:
- a. Low-resolution
- b. Poor quality images (e.g. blurry, visible compression artifacts etc.)
- c. Poorly cropped/rendered
- d. An image depicting a similar subject is already featured
- e. The image is just one in a series of many images of similar nature
If a staff member deems that a particular opposition does not follow these guidelines, it will be negated.

Rundas
- I believe that this picture is well worthy of being a featured piece of artwork. It shows the depth that the character had before he was Corrupted. Greatly worked on, this image makes anyone gazing at it feel a sense of friendship, like the actual one that flowed between the Hunters. - ZeldaMan (PostboxStatus) 05:26, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- It does look great to me. And out of the Corruption hunters pics, I'd say this one is the best. Or perhaps it's because I was the one that touched it up before uploading. The only problem I see now is the name, which will be fixed alongside all other files, so for now, it's great. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 02:45, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- It does surprisingly bring me a sense of calm, despite the fact I didn't play much of the game that they were featured in. Still, the quality is solid and from what I have seen, it is one of the best pieces of art for corruption.Nathanial Rumphol-Janc 14:12, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
Gunship
- Is of high quality, of decent size with a great transparency. It is an interesting and encapsulating image. Should definitely be featured.-Melchizedek talk 06:57, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
- This image is very detailed, and is in a very high resolution. Perfect transparency...vivid colors...It makes the Gunship seem that much closer to reality, and is one of our finest pics. ***Super!~Nickno 03:54, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
