Ram War Wasp

The Ram War Wasp is a variety of War Wasp found on Tallon IV. They have a hive mind which allows them to think as one, enabling them to be dangerous predators capable of taking down larger organisms. Ram War Wasps attack by circling their prey in an attempt to confuse them, then ramming the target.
Samus only encounters this variety in the Hive Totem of the Chozo Ruins while battling the Hive Mecha, which trains and houses them.[1]

- If a player manages to obtain Missiles before normally possible and during the Hive Mecha battle he or she shoots a Missile at a spinning Ram War Wasp, the Wasp will travel faster than the Missile, causing the Missile to circle Samus.
- In Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Samus has an encounter with "Jolly Roger" Drones in Generator A of Norion that attack using a similar style to that of the Ram War Wasps
