The Speed Booster is an ability allowing Samus to run with an increased speed. Once Speed Boosting, Samus can destroy any regular enemy by running into them. There is also a secret technique introduced in Super Metroid, shown by the Dachora, called the Shinespark. It has been in every 2D Metroid game since that.
