Tallon Metroids were later transported to the planet [[Aether]] and studied there. The epidermis of Tallon Metroids raised on Aether had a red pigmentation, but they were otherwise identical. In addition to using them for bio-energy production, the Space Pirates made several attempts to domesticate Metroids.
