The Darkburst is the Charge Combo for the Dark Beam in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
The Darkburst requires 5 Missiles and 30 Dark Ammo, and will travel at slow velocity in the form of a compact orb until it impacts something. Upon impact, the orb will expand and create a rift to another dimension, pulling any nearby enemies into it with devastating consequences.
Like the Sunburst, fast moving targets can evade it.
In-Game Data
"Firing a Darkburst will cost you 5 Missiles and 30 Dark Ammo. The Darkburst is a slow-moving blast. It is of limited effect against agile and rapid-moving enemies."[1]
