The [[Annihilator Beam]] is a [[Luminoth]] weapon featured in ''[[Metroid Prime 2: Echoes]]''. It fires a blast of both light and dark energy that can home in on targets without locking onto enemies. Unlike the [[Light Beam]] or [[Dark Beam]], the Annihilator Beam is effective against both light and dark enemies. It has a rapid rate of fire, slightly slower than that of the [[Power Beam]]. The [[Charge Beam|charged]] Annihilator Beam, known as the '''Disruptor''', fires a blast does not home in on enemies, but, similar to the charged [[Wave Beam]], is capable of stunning enemies. It is also the only weapon capable of destroying [[Lightbringer]]s.

The Annihilator Beam can open portals to both [[Aether]] and [[Dark Aether]]. Shields with a light or dark polarity can be overloaded by the it. It also can supercharge [[Light Crystal]]s into [[Super Crystal]]s that attract [[Ing]] to their death. Used in conjunction with the [[Echo Visor]], {{Samus}} can deactivate certain sonic devices.

The Luminoth champion [[A-Kul]] used the Annihilator Beam, but it was obtained by the Ing after her death. It is also the primary weapon used by [[Quadraxis]], who is capable of firing both normal and Disruptor blasts. {{Samus}} obtains the Annihilator Beam after she destroys Quadraxis.
