Poisonous

The Blueroot Tree is a common desert plantform with highly toxic leaves. Though not confined to the planet Aether, they are common in Agon Wastes. While there are few species that can ingest the poisonous leaves and live, many that do, such as the Space Pirates, consider those leaves a delicacy.

The thick roots of the Blueroot Tree have a transparent quality and will fill Samus's normal light-spectrum visors with a harmless blue light. The same roots as they appear on Dark Aether will flood Samus's visors with red light.

Logbook

Logbook entry from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes: Blueroot Tree
The Blueroot tree is common on worlds with desert regions. While an elegant, attractive plant, the tree's leaves are highly toxic. Few species can ingest the leaves and live: many of them (such as the Space Pirates) consider the deadly Blueroot leaf a delicacy.[1]
