Corrupted Sentreyes are Luminoth-built machines originally used to protect their encampments on Dark Aether but have since become possessed by the Ing. They fire a continuous beam of energy whenever they detect an enemy, similar to the Eyons on Tallon IV. Like the Eyons, they will cover themselves when hit beam a beam weapon and can be destroyed with a hit from the Charge Beam.

Corrupted Sentreyes are Luminoth-built Mechanoids, once used to protect encampments on Dark Aether during their war with the Ing. They attack by firing a sustained energy beam, only stopping when stunned or destroyed. They are similar to the Eyons found on Tallon IV and are quite possibly based upon them. Unlike Eyons, which only fire their energy beams directly in front of them, Sentreye's will aim themselves at smaller targets, such as the Morph Ball.
Trivia
*While the Logbook entry states that they can only be destroyed with a Charged shot from the Light Beam, any charged beam weapon can destroy them as well as a hit from the Screw Attack.
Though their logbook entry says that these Mechanoids can only be destroyed by a charged blast from the Light Beam, most charged weaponry, along with the Screw Attack and Power Bombs, will destroy them easily.
