Its body consists only of ethereal skulls that continuously materialize and dissipate from the physical realm. It uses this to try and appear directly on top of [[Samus Aran|Samus]], but is always slow. Unless she holds still, or backtracks suddenly, Coverns pose little to no threat whatsoever.
