The demolition trooper of the GFS are lightly armored, unlike the more commonly seen trooper. They carry explosives to destroy doors, walls, small ships, and other things. In Metroid Prime 3, were they are seen, you need 4 out of 12 demolition troopers to destroy a large door. They help you later by shooting pirate commanders. If 9 or more die you simply restart. They are black and yellow, they also have GF charges and a GF assault rifle.

Demolition Troopers are Galactic Federation troops that specialize in the use of heavy demolition equipment. They carry explosives capable of destroying a variety of obstacles, but have minimal combat training and rely on others for cover while placing explosives.

In Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, 12 demolition troopers help Samus Aran remove a large door on the Pirate Homeworld. At least four troopers must survive in order to destroy the door.

|entry=Demolition Troopers are not especially combat savvy and often rely on others to cover them in battle. They are outfitted with explosive weaponry for special missions. When the only way to the objective is straight through everything, the troopers in this unit are called upon to make it happen. While capable of destroying the strongest of barriers, these troopers are not as capable in combat as traditional marines.
