flickerbats are aerial eneimes in Metroid Prime. They are only found in the phendrana shoreline. They use optical camoflauge to hide from both preditors and their prey. when hunting they seem to pass in and out of the visable spectrum. They have orange bodies with short blue wings and spine. They use sonar like bats to hunt inscets. Flickerbats  are hard to actually see without the x-ray visor. The olny time that flickerbats can deal any damage is when you jump into their path.
