'''Luminoth Turrets''' are powerful automated turrets constructed by the [[Luminoth]]. They were placed in key areas during their [[Luminoth-Ing War|war]] with the [[Ing]], serving as their first line of defense.<ref name="Logbook"/> These turrets fire two bursts of energy in rapid succession, however agile targets are capable of evading these blasts. [[Samus Aran|Samus]] first encounters Luminoth Turrets in the [[Fortress Transport Access (Temple Grounds)|Fortress Transport Access]], then later in several rooms of the [[Sanctuary Fortress]]. All of her weaponry is capable of damaging the turrets, however they are resilient enough to take multiple hits before being destroyed.
