'''Rundas''' is a [[Phrygisian]] [[Bounty Hunter]] who appears in ''[[Metroid Prime 3: Corruption]]''. His personality differs depending on the situation; he boasts his powers in front of others, but is quiet and dutiful in following commands when working alone. Rundas prefers to work by himself, even against large numbers of enemies; however, he remains sensitive to the safety of his allies. For example, on Norion, he works on his own initiative to activate Generator C by himself, but then he returns to [[Samus Aran|Samus]] to save her after she defeats [[Meta Ridley]] in [[Norion]].

==Metroid Prime 3: Corruption==
Rundas is introduced in the story similar to the way Samus, [[Ghor]], and [[Gandrayda]] are introduced. Initially, Rundas is instructed to work with the other Bounty Hunters to activate the generators powering Norion's planetary defense system to power the Energy Cannon and destroy the incoming [[Leviathan]] threatening to destroy the Galactic Federation's base on Norion. Along the way, he saves Samus several times while she aids him in restoring power to the generator conduits, such as dispatching multiple ships carrying [[Space Pirate|Space Pirates]] that interfered with Samus's mission to restore power to the generators. 

However, when [[Dark Samus|a dark entity]] attacks the Bounty Hunters before they were able to activate the Energy Cannon, Rundas and the other hunters become incapacitated by Phazon infection. Everyone but Samus is knocked unconscious from the blow, but Samus is still able to repulse the Leviathan's impact with the activation of the Energy Cannon.

Within a month, Rundas, Ghor, and Gandrayda are dispatched to [[Bryyo]], [[Elysia]], and the [[Pirate Homeworld]], respectively. Rundas, sent to Bryyo, is sent to end the rapid Phazon Corruption there and like the other Bounty Hunters, is equipped with a [[PED Suit|Phazon Enhancement Device]] to help aid him in his investigation of the Leviathan planted there. It was only a matter of time before Rundas overuses his PED suit and falls victim to [[Phazon Corruption|a Phazon-like illness]]. Samus soon learns of this by various scans of ice with increasing Phazon content as she advances through Bryyo. Before long, Samus encounters another wave of Space Pirates she cannot defeat (similar to the encounter at Norion) but again is saved by Rundas. Samus attempts to walk toward Rundas (possibly to thank him), but Rundas lashes at her with a ripple of ice from the ground, blocking the only exit in their location. With no other alternative, Samus begins to fight the corrupted Rundas.

By the end of the fight, Rundas is mortally injured and Samus emerges as the victor. Before either of them could react, Rundas is impaled by one of his own ice formations (this is never explained in the game), and becomes the first of Samus's fellow bounty hunters to perish. A silhouette of Dark Samus immediately emerges to collect the remaining Phazon in Rundas, and Rundas's body disintegrates. 

The ice formations remaining from the battle shatter, and Samus is left with the [[Ice Missile]] upgrade.

==Fighting Style==
As a member of the Phrygisian race, Rundas can generate and manipulate ice, which he skillfully does in combat. He can generate sheets of ice which allow him to "glide" through the air. He can also generate large ice chunks to throw at his enemies. Rundas's ability to implant ice into various locations makes him a formidable foe at close range, while his chunks of ice make him a large-scale threat at far distances. 

After being corrupted, Rundas liberally enters Hypermode to enhance his ice-based attacks with Phazon.

Indeed, Rundas is a formidable foe and a force to be reckoned with.
