Editing Talk:Charge Combo

This article is a copy/paste of the Wikitroid [http://metroid.wikia.com/wiki/Charge_Combo Charge Combo] article. I expect that an administrator will take care of this. :In investigating the issue, Charge Combo was found to be in no way a direct copy paste. The articles are simply on the same subject matter, and thus contain the same information. The word choice is completely different. The same goes for the Ing article. While I admit the first sentence appears to be a copy paste (something that needs to be rectified) the rest of the article is it's own. Now, it very well could be a rewrite, but since it's the same subject matter it is very difficult to really tell what the intention is. You can also say this about almost any page we have that is fleshed out that you also have. Zelda Universe has a walkthrough for x game, so does Zelda Dungeon, so does Gamefaqs. They all same the same thing in similar wording, so are they copy pasting eachother, or merely talking about the same thing? ::On the very same site that you just linked "Public Domain — Where the work or any of its elements is in the public domain under applicable law, that status is in no way affected by the license." Any information relating to Metroid is "Public Domain" unless Nintendo deems it otherwise. When these games were made, the information was included in the games and any rewrite of that is allowed at any time. The only content that Wikitroid has copy-write over is any original or creative writings attributed to the site. Under your rules we would not be able to write any articles ever because you would deem them "attributed" from your wiki, which is both false and misleading. Wikis are information sites, you CANNOT copy-write information. The only thing we cannot do is completely and blatantly steal from Wikitroid and we will not be doing that. So go back to your site and please stop hounding Metroid Wiki.

Wikia itself doesn't own copyright over the material the general public creates that is simply telling the facts from a material they do not own copyright over. As in, yes, Wikia owns the rights over it's user pages, community based pages, and theories/fanon. It does not own the text that is simply retelling the facts given to us by another property. Take ZI's walkthrough for Spirit Tracks. It is morally wrong to direct copy paste material - but this article isn't a direct copy paste, even if it seems some sentences may be, but it's not legally wrong under the CC license. What I am simply saying is, we don't support copy paste jobs, but the actual text on 90% of wikia's articles fall under public domain, which is part of the license Wikia uses. I am not saying that I support articles looking similar, but I am dissapointed in seeing your guys reaction. You are at our wiki, complaining about our article, instead of going to your own and making it better. And Looking at this Wiki via third-person, rather proves that your Wiki is much more deserving of criticism than Wikitroid. I'm afraid your argument is a tad forfeit in this particular case. I got some editing done on the page, but I had a lot on my hands yesterday at the three sites, plus a massive collaboration project. Whoever finished editing the page, thanks. I still think it needs some work, and more images, but we'll take care of it. As for "lenient" with stealing... lol. You realize that a lot of Zelda Pedia is stolen material from Zelda Wiki, right? We just don't care, because our license says you can do it, and it only makes us make our stuff at ZW better than what they took. Anyways, as for this wiki, no I don't tolerate copy paste jobs, because as is being shown even with just this small page, we can do things much better than the Wikitroid counterpart. It's just a matter of time for me personally. But as we grow, things should get better. I will still editing the page and planned to finish it today.
