Miniroids are infant Phazon Metroids and are similar to the Infant Tallon Metroids from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
Miniroids are small and non-aggressive creatures that travel in groups to increase their chance of survival, until they eventually mature into Phazon Metroids. Unlike the Infant Tallon Metroids, Miniroids can be killed easily with beam shots and do not grow rapidly when in contact with Phazon.
