Ice Beetles are highly aggressive insects found in Phendrana. They are related to the Beetle, but are more powerful. Their bodies have been strengthened by a resilient shell of ice. If Samus fails to defeat them, the Beetles will burrow and reappear in another location.
Like other ice based creatures, Ice Beetles are quickly defeated by the Plasma Beam.
