Brinstar is a highly tropical, and humid section of Zebes, located just beneath the planet's surface, known as the [[Crateria]]. It his home to numerous types of vegetation (many of which, carnivorous), as well as home to over 60 percent of the planet's life-forms. Brinstar is a cavernous-jungle section of the planet Zebes. It is also the second level of the planet to be accessed in Super Metroid and Metroid Zero Mission, and the first to be accessed in the original Metroid.

Brinstar is a highly tropical, and humid section of Zebes, located just beneath the planet's surface, known as the Crateria. It his home to numerous types of vegetation (many of which, carnivorous), as well as home to over 60 percent of the planet's life-forms. Among it's inhabitants is also the saurian, Space Pirate's militarian leader, Kraid, located in the area's deepest points. Other notable creatures being, the Etecoons and Dachora, of whom teach Samus how to Wall Jump and perform a Shinespark, in Super Metroid.
