Gamet

Template:Enemy-infobox Gamets are small, yet dangerous flying creatures that inhabit the depths of Norfair of the planet Zebes. Similar to other enemies of the area, the Gamet will thrive in an Air Hole or a pool of magma until a threat draws near. The creature will then hover out of its hole, follow the target's vertical path, and fly towards it with exceptionally great speed and power. A Gamet is often accompanied by others of its same species in its home, spawning off individually one after another. As the years went by, it seems the Gamet learned the knowledge of teamwork, and arose in a vertically stacked group, all charging after the enemy. There are red variations of Gamets that deal greater damage towards enemies. The creature has appeared in Metroid and its remake, Metroid: Zero Mission, as well as Super Metroid.

Manual

Manual info from Metroid
Gamet: Their bodies are covered by a super-hard shell. They fly out of the air holes and attack Samus. The reds[sic] ones have twice the strength as the others.[1]

Trivia

  • Gamets have appeared in the hit animated series Captain N: The Game Master in two episodes, appearing and attacking similar to the canon enemy.
  • The manual entry for Gamet contains a grammatical error. It says "the reds ones have..." when it should say "the red ones have..."[1]
