The '''Battle of the Hive''' was a conflict that took place during the [[Ing-Luminoth War]]. Recorded details on the battle are scanty, but it undoubtedly took place on the grounds of the [[Ing Hive]] of [[Dark Aether]] or its [[Aether]] twin, the [[Sanctuary Fortress]]. The [[Luminoth]] Warrior [[C-Pul]], known as the Ingslayer for his exploits in combat, died at the hands of the [[Ing]] during this battle.<ref>{{cite|This is a statue of C-Pul, a great hero of Sanctuary. Chronologically speaking, the placement of the Battle of the Hive is vague. If it took place after the [[Fourth Battle of Torvus]], it's possible that this conflict was the one that resulted in the annexation of the [[Light of Aether]] from the [[Sanctuary Temple|Sanctuary Temple's]] [[Energy Controller]] and the Luminoth's retreat into stasis.<ref>{{cite|Our battered forces gathered in the Sanctuary Fortress to prepare for the inevitable siege there.
