Brinstar is a highly tropical, and humid section of Zebes, located just beneath the planet's surface, known as [[Crateria]]. It his home to numerous types of vegetation (many of which are carnivorous), as well as home to over 60 percent of the planet's life-forms. Among its inhabitants is also the saurian, [[Space Pirate]]'s military leader, [[Kraid]], located in the area's deepest points. Other notable creatures, the [[Etecoon|Etecoons]] and [[Dachora]], teach [[Samus Aran|Samus]] how to [[Wall Jump]] and perform a [[Shinespark]], in ''[[Super Metroid]]''.
