As Bop1996 has pointed out, we need to change our reference policy and help pages to reflect how we now do things. I do think we should revamp them entirely cause they are a little boring right now, however outside of mentioning how to properly cite logbook entries I got nothing. Any opinions? MK18:24, 23 October 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Not really much input on this, outside reminding to mention things like certain templates auto-ref and stuff. If we can come up with a clear list of what we need and how, anyone can draft up the changes to help pages. Help pages really need help... I'm thinking we can write them to be more friendly at the very least, more in "my" voice lol --Malake256{Talk | Contribs}20:58, 23 October 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I finally have a Wii (making this edit from it)! I'll try to get MP3 (and the evil game) soon so we can amp up our content from them. MK19:25, 25 December 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yup, did it on Veteran. Normal is just too easy for me and it wouldn't have been as much fun. My Hypermode file has to wait until I finish Skyward Sword (awesome game). I've made it all the way to Phaaze on it... just keep getting completely corrupted before I can destroy AU313. MK08:12, 23 January 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I think that would be a good logo for the site ( Even though the one at the moment is nice and looks like its from the game Metroid Prime game ( Which is my favorite)) Its a fitting title for this wiki!--Arcwarioman18:50, 23 January 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
We should make it hot pink with green spots in the background! In all seriousness, I don't think the current blue link text goes too well with the background color. Of the three options on the main page, I think that we could do color 1 as the unclicked link text and 3 as the linked (or the other way around) MK22:48, 23 January 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
This may be bold, but if we're using a less opaque background, I think we might wanna raise the font-size by two points to make them thicker, solid enough to be seen. It could be too damned high, though. Like the rent. --Malake256{Talk | Contribs}23:08, 23 January 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hey man. This discussion regarding our current set up for featured content on the main page (mostly between just me and Bop1996) suggests that our featured content needs to be changed to rotate rather than have just one featured image/article sitting on the main page for a looong time, as we have now (the Tallon Metroid article has been sitting there for nearly a year). However, I have no idea how to rearrange the featured templates we're using now to do that. Is this within your realm of expertise? —Embyr 75 --Talk--23:45, 2 May 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

So, I'm not sure to what degree it might be useful, or if it's common around here, but I thought I'd at least put it out there that I can speak/read Japanese, so if there were minor things that needed to be translated just for the hell of it, you could send them my way. — Jyavoc (talk • contrib) 16:01, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi, now that I've returned to help out with Metroid Wiki, I had a concern about some of my recently uploaded files that all included the structures of rooms from Echoes. Ultimately, I wanted to know whether these images would fit the room pages or not or if they were entirely useless. How do you think they could be used? --Wookiee123 (talk) 01:57, 19 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
You can go ahead and add them to the page they belong to if the page is made, same as you'd add something like this. If there's no room you can always add a galleries section. A long time ago I made this badboy: Template:Frigate Orpheon-map to make an clickable map. I wanted to make it a lot better before putting it out, but I guess it ended up being another abandoned project lol. As it so happens, I've been working on a couple of Fusion maps which I'm more positive will work out :] --Malake256{Talk | Contribs}02:10, 19 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hey! I recently have been converting the room map images into the same form but with the inclusion of transparency, which I personally think adds to the images' attraction. Since most of the images are saved in .jpg and I'm now saving all as .png, I have marked the .jpg images for deletion under the Articles Marked for Deletion category. I was wondering if you could delete the .jpg images marked under the category. --Wookiee12309:09, 4 May 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah no problem! You can use {{ImDel}} for images instead of {{Delete}}, you can leave the ones you've already done the way they are, but I'm thinking I should merge those templates, they basically do the same thing. --Malake256{Talk | Contribs}06:16, 5 May 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah we actually know who it is, this guy who had beef with Zelda Informer and then moved on over to attack us haha. I think he really hates Metroidking because MK instabanned him seconds after he created an account once after cleaning up his messes a couple times in a row. It was nothing, I did it on my iPod while I was texting haha --Malake256{Talk | Contribs}16:57, 6 July 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
We had a similar problem where this one guy kept creating new accounts with "Arrow is a ..." and vandalizing pages, also after Arrow kept banning his new accounts. Maybe it's contagious? -- Prod (talk) 15:51, 7 July 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I honesty find that he's still trying after 3 years amusing, it's not even a pain to handle it now that we have the nuke extension. MK20:41, 8 July 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I am going to propose that we give admins autonomous ability to promote featured article. There are two few users to vote, and there are only three active admins, I think we can each trust each others' judgement on placing articles in the featured pool and this way it can be updated with more frequency. --Malake256{Talk | Contribs}04:16, 19 July 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Your time as the sole template savior may come to an end soon, I'm starting a project that has me learning CSS among other languages. Should be able to help with the coding after that :D MK02:05, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
