The Purple Beetle Monster is a single eyeball-like beetle surrounded by other smaller beetles to create a giant organism Samus encountered this creature while checking out a distress call sent from the BOTTLE SHIP. The creature is completely impervious to all but freezing weapons. Upon the freezing of a limb it becomes venerable to missiles, which shatters the frozen limb. When all but its torso remains, it becomes venerable to a Overblast.
