Friend Credits and Vouchers

A Friend Credit, also known as a Green Credit, are credits obtainable in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Metroid Prime Trilogy. They are used to unlock special bonuses. These credits can only be obtained by recieving a Friend Voucher from another Wii. Friend Credits are the only type of credits that are able to be gained in infinite amounts.

A Friend Voucher is an item that can be obtained in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Metroid Prime Trilogy. They are obtained by doing special tasks, such as destroying certain numbers of enemies or doing a special technique. The vouchers serve no purpose to the player, but they can be sent through Wifi to another Wii to become a Friend Credit.

Due to the closure of the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection on May 20, 2014, Friend Credits are now unobtainable as players can no longer connect their Wii software with each other, making it impossible to obtain certain unlockables requiring green credits without the use of a save file replacement hack.
