Earth is a planet in the Solar system. The Earth's mass is composed mostly of iron and oxygen and its surface area is covered primarily by water. Its biosphere is host to a wide variety of carbon-based species, including microbial, animal, and plant life, and its geography is equally diverse.
At an unspecified point in its history, the Galactic Federation accepted Earth as a member planet, and later the Galactic Federation Headquarters were placed on Earth.
K-2L, which was once home to the Bounty Hunter Samus Aran, was an Earth colony.
