Gamma Metroids are Metroids which have hatched from their familiar infant eggs, and gone through the alpha stage of their life. Gamma Metroids are the second in a series of Metroid evolution including Alpha Metroids, Gamma Metroids Zeta Metroids and Omega Metroids.

Metroid II: Return of Samus's'
Metroid II: Return of Samus marked the first appearance of the Gamma Metroid.
Metroid Fusion
