The ing hive is the dark version of Sanctuary Fortress. To get to the energy controller in the ing hive, you must first ( other than collect the 3 temple keys) is to defeat a giant quad CM and MB called Quadraxis. After you kill quadraxis and get the annihilator beam, go to the energy controller and retrieve the energy to bring back to the one on Sanctuary. The energy will travel back to U-Mos and connect to the main energy controller. You then go back to U-Mos , he explains what you must do next and gives you the light suit, which protects you from the atmosphere of Dark Aether.

The Hive Energy Controller is a room in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It lies adjacent to the Hive Temple via the Hive Controller Access and houses the Energy Controller for the Ing Hive.

After Samus acquires the stolen Light of Aether from the energy controller here using the Energy Transfer Module bonded to her Power Suit, she can return to the Santuary Energy Controller in Sanctuary Fortress and return the energy to its rightful place.
