Hornoad

[[File:Hornoad in room.jpg|thumb|left|240px|A Hornoad] Hornoads are small creature native to SR388. They spend most of their time hopping about. If they see an intruder, the will attack them, but will quickly lose interest if they move away. In Metroid II: Return of Samus, Hornoads can only hop, and are found in early caverns. But in Metroid Fusion, The X mimic of them is also capable of spitting globs of unknown fluid that will cause damage.

- The name Hornoad is a pun on the real life animal, the Toad. They are very similer in appearence.
