The Mega Core-X is the X that stole the Varia Suit from NOC's Data Room before Samus was able to download it. When she battles it, Samus is unable to use Missiles against its main form. There is a pool of water below during the battle, falling into it will make Samus very vulnerable to attack because she lacks the Gravity Suit. After damaging it with the Charge Beam several times, Samus can attack its Core-X
Its pattern is more or less the same; circling around Samus and making attempts to ram her. Smaller versions of the the Mega Core-X circle around the original as it moves around, acting as shields to it. They can be destroyed with one Charge Beam.
