'''Octopedes''' are [[Luminoth]] built mechanoids originally used for data delivery, but they are now used by the [[Ing]] on patrols in [[Sanctuary Fortress]]. Octopedes travel in groups of eight and move in a rotating pattern to generate an electrical field that cannot be penetrated, {{Samus}} must destroy the Octopedes in order to disrupt the field. When they take enough damage, they will explode.
