Orange Phazon is a rare variation of Phazon only found in the Impact Crater of Tallon IV. It is highly toxic and can kill a creature within seconds due to its extremely high radiation emissions. It can damage Samus through her Phazon Suit. If Samus were to step in this, it would be noticed that energy would drain considerably faster, and exponentially, even with the phazon suit equipped. It is apparently the result of Phazon being concentrated to extremely high amounts, or it could be the result of the Metroid Prime's unique anatomy.
