Talk:Orange Phazon

Even though this Phazon is only SEEN in the Impact Crater, it may have been elsewhere and it may be what Red Phazite Armor is made from, any thoughts? OP is 86% more mutagenic than blue Phazon and Red Phazite Armor is way more durable than standard.

That's an interesting theory, but I don't think there's much evidence for it to be main spaced, I'll move it to a trivia section. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 22:04, 16 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Name?[edit source]

Do we have a source for the name Orange Phazon? Wikitroid calls it "Red Phazon" and their source is a player's guide. Embyr 75  --Talk-- 20:18, 12 March 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The one that made the article is long gone so I don't think he can answer this, but I think he just went by its color for the name. If the guide that WT used is official then we should rename this article. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 21:43, 12 March 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'm not sure if there's scan data or really anything to back it up. I will say that the Prima guides have very dubious information in a lot of cases and should only be used as a last resort for naming where there is absolutely no clue as to what to do about something. It's very likely just blue Phazon except minus the effects the Phazon Suit has on normal Phazon and colored orange instead to the game engine, so I don't think Orange Phazon is much of a stretch (and it's very obviously closer to orange than red), so if we use that template for conjectural names (the name of which escapes me for the moment), that seems to be our best option. "Beware of the red Phazon. Your suit won't protect you from this deadly energy." That's the only instance I see of it being called red Phazon in the Prima guide. If it had said "Beware of the Red Phazon", then it would be easy to say to go with "Red Phazon". But, the way it was used, I think it was literally describing it as Phazon that is red. But our eyes say orange... lol, we can call it something like Impact Crater Phazon or Phazon (Impact Crater). Does scanning it give anything? It can obviously be distinguished from blue phazon, not just visually but by the fact that it hurts Samus through her Phazon Suit. Who knows what would happen to a weaker suit :o --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 09:24, 13 March 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
