The Sanctuary Energy Controller is room from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It is in Sanctuary Fortress on Aether. This room is relatively large, but only part of it can actually be stood upon. There is a big drop off and a vista of Aether in the distance. The room houses the regional Energy Controller for Sanctuary Fortress. It hold the remains of O-Lir, the last Sentinel of the temple before the Ing attacked and stole the Light of Aether from the Luminoth. O-Lir laid in silence for over 1.1 decacycles before Samus' arrival. It also contains another Luminoth Holoprojector that gives Samus a message from O-Lir.

It also contains a Luminoth Holoprojector that allows Samus' to receive a message from O-Lir.
Once the Holoprojector is scanned, a hologram of O-Lir appears. He tell Samus that the Fortress used to be a safe haven for the Luminoth because their was fortress highly defended from the Ing. He tells it holds Portals to the Ing Hive, the heart of the dark tribe. He goes on to say he is responsible for the mechanoids still wandering free around the Fortress, they were built to fight alongside the Luminoth, which they did... for a time. Eventually, the Ing possessed them and began attacking the Luminoth without mercy or hesitation. Many of them went to Dark Aether to serve the Ing, defending the hive. He warns that Ing will guard the Hive with ferocity like no other area, the Hive has never lost in battle against the Luminoth. Before he departs, he updates Samus' Translator Module to interpret Cobalt holograms. In the same room, there is a Cobalt hologram, telling about the fall of Agon Wastes to the Ing.

When Samus scans the Holoprojector, a holographic recording of O-Lir appears and explains that the Fortress was a safe haven for the Luminoth during the war, equipped with powerful mechanoids that O-Lir invented to fight the Ing, whose Hive was accessible via Portals in the Fortress.<ref>{{cite|Hear the words of O-Lir, last Sentinel of the Fortress Temple. Once Samus destroys Quadraxis and takes the Hive Temple's energy, she returns. Same as before, a cutscene initiates showing Samus injecting the energy back into thet local system, improving weather conditions and refracting the energy into the Main Energy Controller. O-Lir appears behind Samus and salute her for ending his work he never was able to finish before his untimely death.

A nearby Cobalt Luminoth Lore Projector contains the Lore "Agon Falls" (GCN) or "The Final Crusade" (Wii).

After defeating Quadraxis, Samus retakes Sanctuary's portion of the Light of Aether and returns to the Sanctuary Temple, where she injects the energy into the Energy Controller. Immediately, the system reacts, improving weather conditions and refracting a ray of light through a lens, focusing the energy into a beam that is directed all the way back to the Main Energy Controller, where U-Mos witnesses its light. O-Lir's hologram appears for the final time to bow in thanks to Samus.

After Samus restores the Light of Aether to the Agon, Torvus, and Sanctuary Temples, then talks to U-Mos, she can access Aether's Light-Based Teleportation System and instantly teleport to any of the Energy Controllers using the Light Suit.
