Could you promote me to Sysop? It looks like you and Nathan are the only ones that could edit Policy pages and whatnot, including the Main Page. I'll help out with that, along with other things to get the wiki going. In the meantime, I'll also be uploading images and creating Metroid articles(which I have done so with many images/articles so far). Also, don't take this as a greedy request to be promoted or anything; my intents are only to help in getting the wiki standing on four legs. I can totally understand you saying no to this. --[[User:Garlic Man|Garlic Man]] 01:37, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

:This really isn't my decision. I have referred you to Nathan, and he should get in touch with you. {{:User:Melchizedek/sig}} 02:01, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

Does this new wiki lack the special thing which keeps userpages off of the wanted pages? Because if it doesn't, I'd suggest getting it ASAP :P[[User:Neo|Neo]] 01:58, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
:Anyway, thanks for your application, and I look forward to seeing you edit and contribute to Metroid Wiki as a member. ==From ZeldaWiki==
I found out about this site via ZeldaWiki and I decide to pitch in my sadly my knowledge of Metroid is limited (this, however, should change as I have just started the Metroid Prime Trilogy)  As I create pages here on metroidwiki, I know there is information I cannot supply, so should I mark them as a stub or something? If so, how do I do this. Thanks and I am looking forward to extending my knowledge of both Metroid and Wikis in general. p.s-On Zelda WIki when you are editing, below the edit box is a box so you can easily access symbols that are not on a keyboard. Will this site eventually get one? Again, I know its new so im just putting it out there... -[[User:Sephiner Shaeld]]

:Hey, Sephiner Shaeld. Firstly, new sections on talk pages go at the bottom, and you need to end your posts with <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>, so I know who you are and when the message was posted. As for the box of symbols under the edit box, that is on my list of things to do. As for the stub pages, you can mark them as stubs by placing <nowiki>{{stub}}</nowiki> at the top of the article. Hope that helps. :) {{:User:Melchizedek/sig}} 05:58, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

== Staff/admin (Malake256 and TheSuperZeldaMan) ==

Hey, Melchizedek!! I've seen the news article about the Staff jobs, and am sort of, requesting for an Administrator job of some sort. I'm just a frequent editor on this site, and if I'm not mistaken, am the top one here. This doesn't allow me to access the Metroid Wiki base with no real problems whatsoever, but it is my ambition to help the site as much as I can. After al, I like to take indefensable positions and make arguments about them :). If you need any information from me, my Email is RaidenRose@yahoo.com. I'm doing this purely by request and understand your answer 105%. Thank you for your time. - {{User:TheSuperZeldaMan/sig}} 00:04, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

I would like to join the Metroid Wiki staff. I have contributed plenty and helped others stay on track to help this Wiki grow past 200 articles. I'm more experienced with content than with wiki technology, although I do know a fair amount of wiki code. I also already enforce the rules written all over the Help section, which people never seem to read. So, how about it? {{:User:Malake256/sig}} 00:06, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

:Thanks for your requests. Glad to see the enthusiasm. What is the best way of communication for you two? Would you prefer e-mail or instant messaging? [http://www.skype.com/intl/en/home Skype] is what our network uses primarily for staff contact, so is preferrered, but I can go MSN, AIM or e-mails for the time being if necessary. Whatever suits each of you guys; let me know. {{:User:Melchizedek/sig}} 00:13, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

::Page has been Watchlisted. Are you saying that we can use Skype now, or once (if) we get hired? - {{User:TheSuperZeldaMan/sig}} 00:19, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

::I would say email for now {{:User:Malake256/sig}} 00:22, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

:::Okay, Malake256, I'll e-mail you. If you have Skype SZM, then it would be great and easy to use now to contact you, as well as after you're hired. ;) {{:User:Melchizedek/sig}} 00:25, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

::::I for one haven't seen the site, but will give it a look in about....five seconds. - {{User:TheSuperZeldaMan/sig}} 00:31, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

:::::Well, seen Malake wants e-mail, I'll send the e-mail to both of you, so you don't have to worry about Skype at this stage. I'll try to get that through to both of you fairly soon. It will just be a couple of questions for you to answer. {{:User:Melchizedek/sig}} 00:40, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

:::::Thank you, Mel. We're both very excited. For Skype, do you want my account to be my user here (TheSuperZeldaMan)?- {{User:TheSuperZeldaMan/sig}} 00:52, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

::::::No problem. the e-mail has been sent, so let me know if either of you didn't receive it for some reason. As for Skype, your name can be whatever you want. :) {{:User:Melchizedek/sig}} 01:02, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

::::::Okay. Congrats Malake256, you've been promoted to patrol. I've sent you an email telling you what you need to know. Still awaiting SZM's e-mail. {{:User:Melchizedek/sig}} 04:08, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

::::::It's been sent. I'm happily and excitedly awaiting a response. - {{User:TheSuperZeldaMan/sig}} 21:17, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

:::Okay, SZM I've replied to your e-mail, which has what you need to know for now. So congrats, you've been ranked up to patrol. To the both of you, as I said in the e-mails, we need to get some more direct IM contact. So please, don't go about using your new powers yet until we're in touch. ;) If it is Skype that we use, my username is 'melchizedekeleazar'. {{:User:Melchizedek/sig}} 23:48, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

::I am extremely sorry for my "absence" this week. I've been extra busy with orientations and class sign-ups. I'm signing up for College really early, if you hadn't noticed. College courses started at my high school about two years ago, so I have a major head start. But anyway, I apologize for my neutralism and will try my best to recover the 3% hat I lost. - {{User:TheSuperZeldaMan/sig}} 20:34, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

::My Skype is FoxHoundFreaks. How do you want to communicate with it? - {{User:TheSuperZeldaMan/sig}} 20:41, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

:::Not a problem. After all, Metroid Wiki is just a hobby, so its understandable when life gets in the way. Hence those two months I was away. :) As for Skype, I'll add you now. Metroid Wiki just uses the instant messaging feature, so voice chatting and video chatting with other staff is something at your discretion if you choose to do so. I only ever use the instant messenger feature when it comes to Metroid Wiki. {{:User:Melchizedek/sig}} 21:19, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

::::Considering the message I just received from you about your dorm rules; I didn't want to message you. So I'll be sending you an e-mail to clarify and discuss a few things. Until we've got your Skype use parameters sorted, we can keep it to e-mail for now. :) {{:User:Melchizedek/sig}} 09:30, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

::::Oh, I didn't know I had any limitations. I'm IMing with Malake just fine, but if there's any oter method that would be more appropriate, let me know. - {{User:TheSuperZeldaMan/sig}} 01:55, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Wait a sec! Could I do this?! PLease? I don't really know how to do that signature, but I'm Drake! -[[User:Drake|Drake]]

:Hey Drake. First off, to leave your signature just type <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki> at the end of your post. I am sorry to say that at this stage Metroid Wiki has adequate staff to fulfill all of the necessary duties. As we grow the need may arise for more staff. So in the meantime I implore you to continue editing, show your dedication to the community and develop your understanding of wiki operations. If you make a good impression through your edits, then you may be a potential future staff member. {{:User:Melchizedek/sig}} 06:08, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
