The '''Phazon Enhancement Device''', abbreviated '''PED''', is a type of technology developed by the [[Galactic Federation]]. This suit enables an individual to harness the destructive power of [[Phazon]] for use in battle. The PED was most notably used by the [[Bounty Hunter]]s [[Samus Aran]], [[Ghor]], [[Rundas]], and [[Gandrayda]] in ''[[Metroid Prime 3: Corruption]]''. Several other Galactic Federation marines are also in PED Suits. Normally, A PED suit draws energy from Phazon stored in a backpack, however; Samus's and the other Bounty Hunters' PED Suits draw energy from the Phazon stored inside of their respective bodies.
