Template:Enemy-infobox Ice Troopers are Space Pirates featured in Metroid Prime. Unlike standard Pirates, Ice Troopers are equipped with a weaker variant version of the Ice Beam that was reverse engineered to use against Samus along with the Power Beam, Wave Beam, and Plasma Beam.[1] A design flaw renders Ice Troopers vulnerable to the Ice Beam.[2] Ice Troopers are found in the only Phazon Mines, mostly on patrols. They are among the Pirates that the Omega Pirate summons for reinforcements.

Trivia
- In the NTSC versions of Metroid Prime, Samus can only damage Ice Troopers with the Ice Beam and the Ice Spreader, as well as freezing them with a charged shot then shattering them with a missile. In other versions, Samus can kill them instantly with Power Bombs.
