The battle begins with a single Amorbis burrowing in and out of the ground. [[Samus Aran|Samus]] must fire at its head until it attaches to the Dark Sphere at the center of the temple. Once attached, it gains armor, as well as the ability to fire bursts of powerful energy that may nullify safe zones. While avoiding these attacks, Samus must fire at its head until its armor shatters. After the armor shatters, Amorbis will fall to the ground and start to suck in massive amounts of air; during this time Samus must enter [[Morph Ball]] mode in order to get sucked inside the Amorbis. She must then drop a [[Morph Ball Bomb|bomb]] inside it. The damaged Amorbis will then slam the Dark Sphere into the ground, cracking it in the process.
