Pirate Trooper: Difference between revisions

The simple Trooper from ''[[Metroid Prime (game)|Metroid Prime]]'' is simply known as a Space Pirate, although their [[Logbook]] scan indicates that they are the basic troopers. They are trained very well in weapon and melee combat. They take their work very seriously and do not give much care for cost-effectiveness of their units. They are very intelligent and spend most of their time in battle, hindering [[Galactic Federation]] forces. While they are found throughout the land of [[Tallon IV]], most of them abode in [[Glacier One]] of [[Phendrana Drifts]] and the [[Phazon Mines]]. Different variants of the ''Prime'' pirates exist, such as [[Shadow Pirate|Shadow Pirates]] and [[Flying Pirate|Flying Pirates]]. A special group of Pirate Troopers, called [[Trooper Pirate|Trooper Pirates]], appear and are only vulnerable to the same beam technology that their armorsuits are from. They are only found in the Phazon Mines. Pirate Troopers are sometimes used as bait for [[Metroid (species)|Metroids]] in their Quarantines.

The standard Space Pirate's name changed to Pirate Trooper in ''[[Metroid Prime 2: Echoes]]'' for unknown reasons, and remained this way for the rest of the Space Pirate's reign. Their weapon system was altered to a Quantum Assault Cannon and a Photonic Power Scythe. They are commissioned in the [[Agon Wastes]], but evidence shows of their camps in [[Torvus Bog]].
