Armored Security Locks are Galactic Federation devices used to secure large mechanisms with an open/close function. The armor plating used is extremely durable, and while it is engaged the locks cannot be damaged.[1] The plating can be disengaged by scanning nearby interfaces, but if a malfunction in the system renders the security systems impassive the locks must be destroyed to advance.[2]

The GFMC Task Force Herakles, who set up a base on Aether prior to Samus's arrival, used Armored Security Locks in conjunction with their Mk II Bridges and their Mk VI Gates.[3][4][5]
