Samus first encounters this creature in Sector 1 (Biosphere) then again after she defeats the King Kihunter. After being attacked by the Mystery Creature in the Biosphere Test Area, Samus notices the shed skin of Little Birdie near a trail of green blood that leads to Lyle Smithsonian.
