The Mk II Bridge, the standard GF Bridge model used during the events of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, is a portable bridge system of Galactic Federation design.[1] The GFMC Task Force Herakles set one up in the Industrial Site of the Temple Grounds on Aether after they crash landed there. Samus can lower the bridges by disengaging and destroying the Armored Security Locks holding them upright. Though durable, the bridge design is flawed and it will often lock in place. Because of this the Marines made plans to release the new and improved Mk III Bridge.[2]
