Template:Enemy-infobox Stone Toads are creatures indigenous to the Chozo Ruins of Tallon IV. They are equipped with incredibly thick exoskeletons, making them impervious to standard attack forms. When a Stone Toad comes to rest somewhere they are difficult to budge, and because of their size they can block entire passageways. While they are predatory in nature, they will only attack creatures smaller than themselves, and will attempt to ingest Samus if she is in Morph Ball mode. Upon discovering she is indigestible, a Stone Toad will promptly regurgitate her; however, if Samus lays a Morph Ball Bomb while inside the mouth of a Stone Toad it will explode from the concussive force. According to the logbook, Stone Toads will use their tusks in combat as a last resort, though this is never seen in-game.
