Zazabi is a plant-like creature found on Sector 2 (TRO) of the B.S.L Research Station|Biologic Space Labs research station. It consists of a head with several appendages, several small sections of body formed into rings, and a suction cup with several sharp teeth at its bottom.

Battle

Zazabi's attacks consist of jumping back and forth while trying to collide with Samus and sucking her into itself so it can drain her life. It typically jumps back and forth several times, and then attempts to land directly on top of Samus, trapping her inside. If Samus is trapped, she can drop Morph Ball Bombs to free herself. Zazabi's outer body is impervious to damage, so Samus can only damage it when it attempts to trap her. She fires Missiles or the Charge Beam inside the hole, damaging it.

As Samus damages Zazabi, parts of it will be destroyed, causing it to partially collapse. After destroying all the middle segments and critically damaging the head, Samus reveals Zazabi's Core-X. Once Samus defeats and absorbs the Core-X, she acquires both the Spring Ball and the Hi-Jump Boots.
