The Tallon Overworld is a rainforest area that makes up most of Planet Tallon IV in Metroid Prime. Samus first arrives in the Tallon Overworld's Landing Site after the destruction of Frigate Orpheon. The Overworld consists of jungle-like areas and caverns, while being drenched by rain. While most of the Planet is made up of this area, Samus only visits a small portion of it in her mission to the Planet. There are less upgrades in the Overworld than the other regions of the Planet such as Phendrana Drifts and Chozo Ruins. However, the Artifact Temple is located in the Tallon Overworld, which is one of the most important sites in the entire Planet. The Beetle enemy is one of the most common creatures of the Overworld, as well as Zoomers and Bloodflowers. Sap Sacs are common vegetation as well. There are many Missile Expansions and two Energy Tanks in the Overworld as well as the Space Jump Boots and the X-Ray Visor, and two Chozo Artifacts. The crashed Frigate Orpheon covers a large portion of what Samus visits in the area. The only boss in the Overworld is Meta Ridley.

Trivia

  • The Tallon Overworld has the most music tracks in the series, six to be exact: the two main themes, the Artifact Temple theme, the Save Station/Item collect/Elevator room music, and the two themes from the crashed Orpheon.
