The Alpha Splinter is the leader of the Splinters. He is larger and faster than other Splinters. Like other Splinters, the Alpha Splinter attacks by ramming. Due to his increased speed and strength, his lunges are much faster and more damaging. The Alpha Splinter will also lunge directly into his targets' path, instead of directly at them.
Samus encounters him in the Great Temple after she kills a large group of Dark Splinters, though it is quickly possessed by an Ing wishing to drain Aether's final Energy Controller.[1]
Dark Alpha Splinter
The Dark Alpha Splinter gains the ability to fire bursts of dark energy after possession. He becomes faster and stronger, but will lunge directly at Samus.[2]
