The Death Ball is a temporary Morph Ball ability obtained from a Randomizer, which can be used in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes's Multiplayer. The Death Ball forces Samus Aran into the Morph ball form until the effect wears off. White sparks shoot from the Morph Ball, and contact with any other player will instantly terminate them.

The Death Ball has only made an appearance in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes; it is a temporary ability that adds a field of energy that surrounds the Morph Ball and many tiny bolts of electricity connect the actual Morph Ball and the electric field.
