A Morph Ball Bomb is a small time detonated explosive that Samus can deploy while in Morph Ball form. It can be used to damage enemies, as well as execute the Bomb Jump and related techniques.
Bombs are the basic weapons for Samus's Morph Ball. They can be used to break certain objects, and are essential for defeating certain bosses such as Flaahgra and Amorbis. Bombs can be used to activate Bomb Slots to help Samus advance. A more powerful Bomb called the Power Bomb can also be obtained.
In the 2D Metroid games, bombs appear as actual metal bombs, which flash until detonation. In the Prime Trilogy, bombs appear as blue energy balls when dropped and are surrounded by blue light when detonated.
