Power Bomb Block

From Metroid Wiki

Power Bomb Blocks are a type of obstruction found in Metroid: Zero Mission, Super Metroid, and Metroid Fusion that requires the use of a Power Bomb to bypass. While they are not ordinarily discernible from their surroundings, if Samus were to drop a regular Bomb on one it would become exposed. In Super Metroid, the X-Ray Scope can also be used to detect Power Bomb Blocks.

While not present in the Metroid Prime series, objects made from Bendezium and Denzium serve a similar purpose.
