Sector 1 (SRX) is a simulation of SR388 aboard the B.S.L Research Station. Much of it is rocky terrain. When the B.S.L Research Station becomes infested with X-Parasites, the X invade the atmospheric stabilizers in this region. Samus had to destroy the X attached to the stabilizers.
