The Spring Ball (or Jump Ball,) is an ability of Samus' that allows her Morph Ball to jump without using a Morph Ball Bomb. The ability is present at the start of most games. Some games such as Metroid Fusion, however, require an upgrade to Samus' Morph Ball. In Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Metroid Prime: Trilogy, the Wii Remote must be lifted quickly and shortly to activate the Spring Ball.
