A Suit Expansion is an increase in holding capacity used by Samus Aran. Suit expansions are items that are seen in abundance throughout the Metroid franchise. These are common aspects of the games, not to be confused with one-time upgrades. There have only been a couple of items with expansions, the most notable of which are Energy Tanks, Missile Expansions, and Power Bomb Expansions. Other expansions have made appearances, such as Beam Ammo Expansions for Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
